Exploring the heart of Buttrio with“Buttrio System”: a digital journey through Villas, Art and Wines

The year 2023 marked the beginning of an extraordinary project in the picturesque municipality of Buttrio, located in the Eastern Hills of Friuli Venezia Giulia, realized through the synergy between amuseapp and Larin. This exciting project, “Sistema Buttrio, ” presented as part of a project designed by the municipal administration and the Larin company.

The realization of “Sistema Buttrio” was made possible thanks to the active contribution of the associations Pro Loco Buri and Buttrio 100 Activities for You, as well as thanks to a grant from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, flanked by municipal resources.

The project aims to celebrate and share Buttrio’s wealth of history, culture and beauty with the world, aiming to attract tourists from all over the world.

Buttrio system: the digital heart of Buttrio

“Sistema Buttrio” is an innovative digital platform, consisting of an app and a web portal, designed to offer a comprehensive experience of the charming town of Buttrio. This area, renowned for its wine tradition and included in the “Roads of Wine and Flavors of Friuli Venezia Giulia,” uses this platform as a digital showcase to share its unique culture.

The“Buttrio System” app enriches the visitor experience, allowing tourists to explore iconic places such as the Villa di Toppo Florio and the Museum of Wine Civilization through engaging interactive tours. The web portal, created by Larin, serves as Buttrio’s virtual business card, providing details about local attractions, places and more.

Larin has created an ad hoc project for “Sistema Buttrio,” leveraging the expertise acquired in the field, particularly through the experience gained with amuseapp. Although “Sistema Buttrio” is a stand-alone app, created exclusively for the village and not part of the amuseapp ecosystem (an app that includes more than 300 cultural entities within it), the project is considered a success for amuseapp as well. In fact, Larin used amuseapp’s app and back office software as the basis for creating those of “Sistema Buttrio.”

Charting the course of “Buttrio System”

The conception of “Sistema Buttrio” began in 2023 when amuseapp and Larin won a tender to collaborate with the municipality of Buttrio. Divided into four main itineraries, the project offers:

1. Get to know Buttrio: A broad overview of the municipality, from the charming hills to the distinctive bell tower.
2. The Villa of Toppo Florio: highlights the 18th-century Villa di Toppo-Florio, which overlooks an extraordinary park of considerable archaeo-botanical interest. The building saw its heyday when it became the property of the family of Udine counts Nicolò and Francesco di Toppo.
3. The Archaeo-Botanical Park: guides visitors to discover works of art and historical artifacts in an extraordinary natural environment.
4. The Museum of Wine Civilization of Friuli Venezia Giulia: is located in the west wing of the Toppo-Florio Villa and collects objects, documents, and iconographic evidence of everything revolving around the world of vines and wine.

The Presentation of “Buttrio System”: a day of enthusiasm and education

The presentation of the “Buttrio System'” project on November 6, 2023, was a major event marked by the participation and collaboration of various local entities.

Larin handled the “Buttrio System” presentation in depth, highlighting their commitment to ensuring that every detail was understood. During a training session for those in charge of the municipality, Pro Loco and village communications, Michela Pani of Larin and Francesco Munari of amuseapp provided valuable insights. Michela explained the use of WordPress for Buttrio’s website, while Francesco delved into the application of the “Buttrio System” and its back office, highlighting key benefits. The goal was to ensure that everyone clearly understood the use of the tools and to offer direct support to the township’s municipal and communications managers.

The enthusiasm of the local community made the atmosphere electric, highlighting the opportunity to improve the perception of Buttrio and consolidate communication about the area’s offerings.
