Accessible routes for every visitor

amuseapp was born from the experience of the "Sensi: Musei senza barriere" ("Senses: Museums Without Barriers") project, to guarantee equal opportunities of access to knowledge and full independence for every visitor.

The problem

Not every cultural venue is designed for everyone

Many cultural venues are not designed for people with visual, hearing, or motor disabilities. Without suitable routes and content, part of the audience is left out of the cultural experience.

Digital accessibility

Standards-compliant, designed for everyone

WCAG 2.1 and AGID compliance

Full compliance with AGID guidelines, the UNI CEI EN 301 549 standard, and WCAG 2.1 criteria for visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor disabilities.

Screen reader compatible

Native assistive features for people with low vision, with an interface that can also be used without a mouse.

Voice commands

An accessible button activates voice commands, designed for people with motor difficulties reaching the totem.

Subtitles and Sign Language (LIS)

Videos with subtitles, alt text for images, and content in Italian Sign Language (LIS) for deaf or hard-of-hearing users.

Indoor navigation for the blind and visually impaired

Thanks to beacons, the app guides visitors step by step with voice directions, distances, and haptic alerts about obstacles.

Real-time assistance

A single tap is enough to call staff: the app immediately transmits the visitor's position for a quick response.

What they say about us

A great example of how AI can be integrated into a cultural context. The app has improved accessibility, especially for foreign visitors who now explore Volandia independently.
