2023 marked the start of an extraordinary project in the picturesque municipality of Buttrio, located among the Colli Orientali of Friuli Venezia Giulia, made possible by the partnership between amuseapp and Larin. This exciting project, "Sistema Buttrio", was presented as part of an initiative developed by the municipal administration together with the company Larin.
The creation of "Sistema Buttrio" was made possible thanks to the active contribution of the associations Pro Loco Buri and Buttrio 100 Attività per Te, as well as funding from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, supported by municipal resources.
The project's goal is to celebrate and share with the world the wealth of history, culture and beauty of Buttrio, aiming to attract visitors from all over the world.
Sistema Buttrio: the digital heart of Buttrio
"Sistema Buttrio" is an innovative digital platform, made up of an app and a web portal, designed to offer a complete experience of the fascinating town of Buttrio. This area, renowned for its winemaking tradition and included in the "Strade del Vino e dei Sapori del Friuli Venezia Giulia" wine route, uses this platform as a digital showcase to share its unique culture.
The "Sistema Buttrio" app enriches the visit experience, allowing tourists to explore iconic sites such as Villa di Toppo Florio and the Museo della Civiltà del Vino through engaging interactive tours. The web portal, created by Larin, acts as a virtual calling card for Buttrio, providing details on local attractions, places and much more.
Larin built a bespoke project for "Sistema Buttrio", drawing on expertise gained in the sector, in particular through experience developed with amuseapp. Although "Sistema Buttrio" is a standalone app, created exclusively for the town and not part of the amuseapp ecosystem (an app that includes over 300 cultural venues), the project is considered a success for amuseapp too. In fact, Larin used the amuseapp app and back office software as the foundation for building the "Sistema Buttrio" equivalents.
Tracing the journey of "Sistema Buttrio"
The concept for "Sistema Buttrio" began in 2023, when amuseapp and Larin won a call for proposals to collaborate with the municipality of Buttrio. Divided into four main itineraries, the project offers:
- Discover Buttrio: a broad overview of the municipality, from its charming hills to its distinctive bell tower.
- Villa di Toppo Florio: highlights the eighteenth-century Villa di Toppo-Florio, which overlooks an extraordinary park of considerable archaeological and botanical interest. The building flourished when it became the property of the Udine noble family of counts Nicolò and Francesco di Toppo.
- The archaeo-botanical park: guides visitors through the discovery of works of art and historical artifacts in an extraordinary natural setting.
- The Museo della Civiltà del Vino of Friuli Venezia Giulia: located in the western wing of Villa di Toppo-Florio, it gathers objects, documents and iconographic testimony related to the world of vines and wine.

The presentation of the "Sistema Buttrio" project, held on November 6, 2023, was a significant event, marked by the participation and collaboration of several local organizations.
Larin managed the presentation of "Sistema Buttrio" in depth, highlighting their commitment to ensuring that every detail was understood. During a training session for representatives of the municipality, the Pro Loco and the town's communications team, Michela Pani from Larin and Francesco Munari from amuseapp shared valuable information. Michela explained the use of WordPress for the Buttrio website, while Francesco went into detail on the "Sistema Buttrio" app and its back office, highlighting the key benefits. The goal was to ensure everyone clearly understood how to use the tools and to offer direct support to the municipality and communications representatives.
The enthusiasm of the local community made for an electric atmosphere, highlighting the opportunity to improve Buttrio's image and strengthen communication about what the area has to offer.
