Through our webapp, museums gained the ability to personalize every aspect of the visit, managing practical information and actively engaging users with itineraries and unique points of interest. Powerful features such as intuitive data upload, QR code creation for smooth navigation, and the generation of personalized itineraries with the help of artificial intelligence completely transformed the museum experience.
The platform evolved month after month, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to the sector. Key events in 2023, such as being named a finalist for the Premio Marzotto in June, followed by selection for the Cariplo InnovaCultura program in September, highlighted our presence and commitment to museum innovation.

In 2023, amuseapp welcomed 350 museums from across Italy into its community, also expanding beyond national borders to include museums from Slovenia and Switzerland.
A significant step was taken in September 2023 with the launch of our social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn. This strategy proved to be a genuine success, attracting 2752 amusers (amuseapp followers) by December 2023, who together with the 4591 readers of the monthly newsletter form a large, unified community that is unique in Italy.

March: the launch of amuseapp
The exciting journey of amuseapp began on March 27, 2023, with the official launch during the online event "Museum Evolution: The Future of Museums and Cultural Innovation". This event, led by Michele Da Rold, marked the beginning of an ambitious project aimed at revolutionizing the museum approach through digitization and the democratization of cultural progress.
During the discussion, Michele explored the future of museums, analyzing the significant efforts underway to reorganize and digitize the museum sector. The conversation covered the evolution of the museum industry and the importance for museums of adapting to new ways of providing information and offering innovative experiences to visitors.
Critical topics were examined, such as the challenges of adopting innovative technologies, the shortage of skills in the museum sector and the need to develop new frameworks for engaging visitors in cultural institutions.
The event also highlighted emerging trends in museums, such as sustainable tourism, digital visits, and the evolution of museum audio guides. The discussion touched on crucial aspects, including adapting to visitors' new needs, museum trust and loyalty, the strategic use of social media during the pandemic, and the shift toward a more personalized approach in museum evolution.

May: Larin Camp
In May, the highlight was Larin Camp, held on May 17 and 18. Larin Camp is a company retreat organized by Larin Group twice a year. On this occasion, all team members gathered at a countryside villa in the province of Florence.
Thanks to the valuable collaboration of Interventionist Coach Nicola Zema, Larin Camp was the perfect setting to interact, get to know each other better, and build strong relationships within the team. It wasn't just a company retreat, it was a boost of positive energy for the whole team. Overall, Larin Camp acted as a catalyst for improving team dynamics, fostering individual growth, and creating a more stimulating work environment. Combined, these elements brought tangible value to amuseapp, improving its company culture, internal collaboration, and overall employee wellbeing.
June: the "Archeomuseo" project and finalists for the Premio Marzotto
The "ArcheoMuseo" project represented a pioneering collaboration between amuseapp, the University of Padua, and the Museum of Archaeological and Art Sciences, launched through the "Progetti Innovativi degli studenti-2021" call for proposals and actively involving 12 students. The main goal was to radically transform the museum experience by embracing cutting-edge digital solutions.
Through an in-depth analysis of the current museum landscape, the central concept of the "museum avatar" emerged, a revolutionary idea aimed at personalizing each visitor's experience. amuseapp proposed an innovative educational framework, making use of artificial intelligence to simplify the creation of engaging content. Co-designing two museum itineraries further enriched the overall experience, culminating in the creation of a mobile app and a webapp. These solutions enabled independent content management, offering the public a completely renewed museum experience.
In short, "ArcheoMuseo" redefined the concept of the museum visit, combining digital innovation with a personalized experience. This project highlighted the intrinsic value of collaboration between technology, education, and cultural heritage.

That same month, amuseapp received prestigious recognition, entering the Premio Marzotto competition and being selected among the finalists in early October. A further recognition confirming amuseapp's ongoing commitment and innovation in the field of culture and technology.
July: finalists at Treviso Creativity Week
As part of the "Creativity Startup 2023" event, amuseapp achieved notable success, emerging among the 24 selected start-ups. This award recognized the innovation and creativity of aspiring Italian entrepreneurs, with a focus on the circular economy and sustainable development of the territory. amuseapp's recognition stemmed from its commitment to improving the museum experience through personalized itineraries and interactive content.

In September, amuseapp was selected to take part in the InnovaCultura call promoted by Cariplo Factory and Fondazione Cariplo. This initiative, aimed at cultural venues, seeks to reinvent their activities while promoting the development of cultural and creative enterprises, including start-ups, SMEs, and non-profit organizations.
The InnovaCultura project focuses on various cultural institutions, such as museums, ecomuseums, museum collections, UNESCO sites, archaeological sites, libraries, archives, and library systems, underscoring the fundamental role these venues play in education, the transmission of collective identities, and social cohesion. In this new edition, the initiative aims to encourage the identification and development of new paradigms and experimental systems for designing, producing, distributing, and promoting culture.
amuseapp's participation in InnovaCultura offers the opportunity to contribute to useful, sustainable, and replicable innovation in the cultural and creative sector. This initiative will make it possible to rethink the operating model of cultural venues and adapt the offering of cultural and creative enterprises to communities' new needs, while remaining consistent with their mission.

October: the new version of the app, the webinar "Museum Odyssey: A Journey Through the Technologies That Will Revolutionize the Visitor Experience," and Eureka Day 2023
On October 5, amuseapp officially unveiled the new version for Android and iOS devices, marking a significant leap forward in the app's evolution. The update focused on optimizing the user interface and implementing cutting-edge features, delivering an even smoother, more intuitive, and more engaging cultural exploration experience.
Later, on October 13, 2023, Villa Manin in Passariano opened its doors for Eureka Day 2023, an event organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia region to foster collaboration between cultural and creative enterprises and traditional businesses. amuseapp took an active part, contributing to a plenary session focused on "Culture and Creativity 4.0" and a B2B networking session aimed at fostering connections and partnerships between cultural and traditional enterprises. This meeting gave businesses in Friuli Venezia Giulia the opportunity to develop innovative business projects and fruitful collaborations, underscoring the importance of integrating creativity into the fabric of traditional companies. The event highlighted the value of cross-company collaboration in promoting innovation and economic growth in the region.
On October 26, during the webinar "2024: Museum Odyssey", held as part of "Digitalmeet," new digitalization trends in the world of culture were explored. Michele Da Rold, an expert in marketing and digital transformation in the cultural sector, opened the event by reflecting on trends and future scenarios in the world of digital culture.
Speaking next were representatives of two digital solutions adopted by prestigious Italian museums:
– Paolo Piccoli from amuseapp, the app that replaces audio guides with an AI-based digital solution, revolutionizing the visitor experience.
– Vincenzo Abbatantuoni from Tela, the start-up that simplifies the management and promotion of Italian cultural venues through paperless ticketing and Big Data used to analyze tourist flows (in partnership with Evening Ltd).
During the webinar, the new version of the amuseapp app was announced, marking the start of a collaboration with Tela. The overall goal of the event was to give museum professionals the essential tools to navigate the digital landscape as it keeps evolving, and to announce significant innovations in the context of digital cultural experiences.

November: the presentation of "Sistema Buttrio"
In November, amuseapp was involved in the presentation of "Sistema Buttrio", an innovative project developed in collaboration between amuseapp, Larin, and the municipality of Buttrio. Supported by local associations and funded by the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, this digital platform, made up of an app and a web portal, celebrates Buttrio's rich history, culture, and landscape. With a successful launch on November 6, 2023, the project actively engaged the local community, promising to position Buttrio as an outstanding tourist destination in the Colli Orientali of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
December: Larin Camp
With the year's second Larin Camp held in December, the amuseapp, neocode, and Larin teams closed out the year in a spirit of collaboration, team cohesion, and passion for innovation. This event was a unique moment in which the teams were able to strengthen their synergy and demonstrate a shared commitment to excellence and forward thinking, before taking a short break for the holiday season.
