What? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I&#8217;ll tell you about it in this article, reporting on what transpired last September 10 when we initiated, together with the Veneto Region, the free workshop \u201cA Museum in Connection\u201d aimed at journalists and all those working in the tourism-cultural sector.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This appointment at the South Lagoon Museum of Chioggia, part of the European project \u201cInnocultour,\u201d funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia Program 2014-2020 to develop innovation and promotion of the cultural heritage of the Adriatic, was aimed at illustrating the new opportunities for \u201cslow\u201d tourism in Chioggia and Rovigo, and then to preview the digital solution inside the museum.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On this occasion, I tried not to talk about all the topics I hear lately at every conference I attend, such as:  <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the modern tourist inquires online;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B2B and B2C are obsolete, and now we are talking about H2H &#8211; <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">human to human<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">social is key and digital is the future;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tourism today must be experiential, customized and sustainable;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">one must return to an intimate experience and be the protagonist of one&#8217;s own vacation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The future according to Oscar of Montigny<\/h2>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6827\" src=\"http:\/\/amuseapp.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/69637815_2097929310513927_4576111027652919296_o-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/amuseapp.art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/69637815_2097929310513927_4576111027652919296_o-3.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/amuseapp.art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/69637815_2097929310513927_4576111027652919296_o-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/amuseapp.art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/69637815_2097929310513927_4576111027652919296_o-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/amuseapp.art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/69637815_2097929310513927_4576111027652919296_o-3-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2048px) 100vw, 2048px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I then focused on what I had heard during the last TedX in Cortina: a few words from <\/span><b>Oscar di Montigny<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, creator and popularizer of the Spherism Movement in which he combines business and management with philosophy, art and science:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><i>\u201cIt&#8217;s a crazy time to be alive, it&#8217;s a unique time. <\/i><i>There has never been one like it, except maybe when man learned how to handle fire.\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A time of virtually limitless possibilities: speech recognition, automation, robotics, processor power, data management, resource sharing &#8230; more and more development will engage in every direction and dimension, and one by one we will achieve great goals at impressive speeds.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The question, then, is not \u201cwhether a vision will become reality,\u201d because the answer is simple: yes, it will happen.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customer First or Technology First?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The idea of social and digital, then, is as if it has already passed: the world is going so fast that we should not dwell so much on the tool as on an actual approach that we want to bring.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An approach that can be of two kinds:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">customer first<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, espoused by Jeff Bezos creator of Amazon: it has an obsessive focus on customer needs and \u201cworking backwards\u201d (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">working backwards<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) to figure out how to innovate to best meet those needs;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">technology first<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, followed by Elon Musk, Tesla&#8217;s CEO: he believes he knows where the market is going (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">working ahead<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), knowing what customers need and what they will want<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What then is the correct approach? The one that is more customer-centered or technology-centered? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no right choice, especially in the museum field.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Figure out how to structure your guest&#8217;s visit when they arrive at your museum: you can&#8217;t expect to create the perfect experience when they&#8217;re already inside, but you have to be able to act on them before and after the visit, which are the most important parts (and that&#8217;s exactly what I talk about in the book <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/ognimaledettomuseo.com\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every Damn Museum<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6832 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/amuseapp.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/OMM_copertina_LINK.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1584\" height=\"396\" srcset=\"https:\/\/amuseapp.art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/OMM_copertina_LINK.jpg 1584w, https:\/\/amuseapp.art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/OMM_copertina_LINK-300x75.jpg 300w, https:\/\/amuseapp.art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/OMM_copertina_LINK-768x192.jpg 768w, https:\/\/amuseapp.art\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/OMM_copertina_LINK-1024x256.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1584px) 100vw, 1584px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The five tips to ensure a perfect visiting experience<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>What do you have to do now?<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">analyze and differentiate yourself <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from your competitors, define the purchase path of your guests and build a unique proposition;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">automate<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as many things as possible; create an automatic contact collection and follow-up system of emails, articles, posts, promotions, &#8230;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sell again<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: keep offering products or services to people who have already visited your museum;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">continue to improve<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, constantly compare yourself with others, ask for feedback from colleagues and visitors;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">be manic<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Be obsessed with word of mouth to the point that it becomes the key KPI for measuring customer satisfaction.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong><i>\u201cYes, but I don&#8217;t have time to handle the customer on site, let alone create an experience before and after the visit.\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I will answer you with just one fact: 68 percent of buying decisions are made even before you buy.
